LACA Cares MLK Day of Service
Green in Service & Action
Jan 19, 2026, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Atlanta, Hunter Hills, Atlanta, GA 30314
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, LACA Cares invites members to come together for a meaningful MLK Day of Service rooted in action, unity, and community impact. As Dr. King reminded us, “MLK Day is a day ON, not a day off.” This day is an opportunity to live that message through hands-on service and environmental stewardship.
Volunteers will participate in impactful outdoor projects across West Side Atlanta, supporting the beautification and restoration of local green spaces that serve the surrounding community. Through collective effort, we honor Dr. King’s vision by investing our time, care, and energy into building stronger, healthier neighborhoods.
Volunteer Activities May Include
Garden planting and mulching
Community clean-up efforts
Trail restoration
Greenspace beautification
This is a hands-on service experience designed to foster connection, purpose, and legacy—bringing members together around service that makes a visible and lasting difference.
Space is limited. Advance registration is required.
Join us as we honor Dr. King’s legacy through service, sustainability, and collective action.
